CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Bernadean Kerley, 87, daughter of the late Luther Lee Arnold and Anna Johnson, was born March 13, 1934, in Chaffee and departed this life Sunday, March 28, 2021, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
On Aug. 17, 1957, she was united in marriage to Robert Ray Kerley in Scott City. He preceded her in death 1997.
Bernadean was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee. She worked at Florsheim Shoe Company until retirement.
Survivors include three daughters, Janice (Larry) Martin of Chaffee, Jeanette (Neil) Stubbs of St. Louis and Roberta (Howard) Lynn of Scott City; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Les Spinks and Luther Lee Arnold. and four sisters, Beulah Simpher, Martha Sheeley, Glendola Shell and Elsie Freeman.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, with the Rev. Josh Boley officiating. Interment will follow.
Masks are strongly encouraged at the funeral home and cemetery.
