ADVANCE -- Funeral service for Bennie Gray Webb of Advance was held Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Roy Bennett and Virgil Bunch officiated, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park.
Webb, 64, died Thursday, June 25, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 26, 1927, in Hamilton, Ala., son of Benjamin G. and Mary Alice Carnes Webb. He and Kathryn Bess were married April 12, 1952, in Piggott, Ark.
Webb is retired owner/operator of Fleet Carrier of Pontiac, Mich. He attended First United Methodist Church in Advance, member of VFW Post here, and member of U.S. LST Association, American Legion of Campbell. He served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army from 1945-50.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Maj. Danny Webb with the Air Force in Waldorf, Md.; a daughter, Angela Klein of Waterford, Mich.; a brother, Foy Webb of Campbell; two sisters, Verla Osborne of Campbell, Robbie Payne of Fisk, and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers.
