JACKSON -- Bennie C. Walton, 80, of Jackson died Thursday, Jan. 4, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 1, 1915, at Flat River, the son of B. and Laura Bell Ross Walton. He married Bernice Mouser on Oct. 17, 1951, at Blytheville, Ark. She survives.
He worked as a foreman for Inman Shoe Co. in Advance, retiring in 1973. He also was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Cape Girardeau.
Other survirors are a daughter, Shirley Maxine Marquez of Albuquerque, N.M., four brothers, Toy Walton of Marble Hill, Ted Walton of Rockview, Finis Walton of Greenville and Elgin Walton of Siekston; five sisters, Clara Horman of Chaffee, Ethel Cluster of East St. Louis, Ill., Gladys Dees of Belton, Lorene Finley of Chaffee and Myra Jean Mouser of Morley; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
Friends may call from 4-8 today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Winferd Wren will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
