Benjamin R. Schrader, 92, of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, May 11, 1993, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
He was born July 1, 1900, in Cape Girardeau, son of Anton and Friederike Renne Schrader. He and the former Selma Meyer were married Oct. 18, 1922, in Cape Girardeau. She died May 4, 1980.
Schrader was a retired machinist at Davis Electric. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, was a Boy Scout leader at May Greene School and had served on the Boy Scout Council.
Survivors include two daughters, Melva R. Lewis of Cape Girardeau, Margie Casterson of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Steven MacDougall will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
