ST. LOUIS -- Benjamin J. Simpher, 79, of St. Louis, formerly of Dutchtown, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 13, 1995, in St. Louis County.
He was born March 28, 1915, at Dutchtown, son of Phillip and Anna Behre Simpher.
He was an Army veteran and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was a retired chemical worker from Monsanto Co.
Survivors include sisters, Anges Goetz, Cape Girardeau, Bertha Glastetter, Downers Grove, Il., and Anna Dannenmueller, Chicago, Il.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Corrine Aldridge Simpher, five brothers and one sister.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Dashner Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill., with Fr. Gene Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery at Columbia, Ill.
Friends may call Monday from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at Dashner Funeral Home.
