JACKSON -- Benjamin F. "Ben" Peetz, 92, of Jackson, died Thursday, March 30, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Oct. 23, 1902, near Tilsit, son of William and Augusta Meier Peetz. He and Mae Sachse were married Aug. 1, 1937, at Old Appleton. She died July 12, 1985...

JACKSON -- Benjamin F. "Ben" Peetz, 92, of Jackson, died Thursday, March 30, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 23, 1902, near Tilsit, son of William and Augusta Meier Peetz. He and Mae Sachse were married Aug. 1, 1937, at Old Appleton. She died July 12, 1985.

Peetz moved to Oak Ridge in 1937, retired from farming in 1971 and moved to Jackson. He was a member of Emanuel United Church of Christ and active in the Senior Citizen Center here. He was a former member of Zion Methodist Church at Old Appleton.

Survivors include a sister, Anna Meyer of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by four brothers.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
