Belma Hohler, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born April 27, 1924, in Dutchtown, the daughter of Walter Herman and Bertha Mae Baumgardt Bierschwal.
She and Henry Eugene Hohler were married Nov. 12, 1947, in Cape Girardeau. He died Jan. 30, 1972.
Belma was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include four sons, David (Sharon) Hohler of Cape Girardeau, Robert (Tracy) Hohler of East Prairie, Mo., Mark (Tammy) Hohler of Edgerton, Ohio, and Joseph Hohler of Rutherford, N.J.; three daughters, Teresa (Ronald) Moss of Springfield, Mo., Martha Hohler Jones of St. Louis and Janet Hohler of Corrales, N.M.; a brother, Leo "Butch" Bierschwal of Granite City, Ill.; a sister, Imogene "Feedie" Hitt of Houma, La.; 13 grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. William L. Burke officiating.
Burial will follow at Lorimier Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
