Beulah G. Reynolds, age 83 passed away at her home (formerly Rt. 2, Jackson) on Sunday, June 27, 1999.

She was born June 1, 1916 at Patton, Mo. the daughter of the late Rev. Robert L. and Mary Jane Hanners Cook.

She married James "Jim" W. Reynolds April 25, 1943 and he survives.

Mrs. Reynolds graduated from Central High School and Southeast Missouri University.

She taught at schools in Bollinger, Ripley and Cape Girardeau Counties (Helderman, Poplar Ridge, Tilsit and Gordonville) for a total of 41 years. She retired from teaching in 1982. She also assisted her husband in farming.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson for over 40 years where she taught in the Adult Sunday School Div., a member of the Woman's Missionary Union and Joy Choir. She was a member of the Retired Teachers of the Jackson School District.

Survivors include her husband; four brothers, Rev. Lee Cook of Camp Verde, Arizona, Raymond H. Cook of Burfordville, Truman Cook of Sun City, Arizona and Kenneth Cook of Marble Hill, Mo.; one sister, Betty Upchurch of Marble Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, with funeral services Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery with Rev. Dan Upchurch officiating.

Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church of Jackson, or Southeast Hospice.
