MARBLE HILL -- Beatrice James, 73, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 3, 1924, in Arkansas, daughter of Harry and Eva Hall Emmons. She married Frank James Sr. He died May 29, 1977...

MARBLE HILL -- Beatrice James, 73, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 3, 1924, in Arkansas, daughter of Harry and Eva Hall Emmons. She married Frank James Sr. He died May 29, 1977.

James retired from International Shoe Co. at Jackson.

Survivors include a son, Frank James Jr. of Marquand; two daughters, Karen Wilfong of Wappapello, Patsy Wilfong of Marble Hill; a brother, Andy Emmons of Council Bluffs, Iowa; three sisters, Alice Pipkin of Monahans, Texas, Rita Emmons of Kennett, Ruth Baker of Jacksonville, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 4:30-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wilfong Cemetery at Wappapello.
