CAIRO, Ill. -- Beatrice W. Hilboldt, 84, of Cairo died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., following an extended illness. She was born June 26, 1915, in Nashville, Tenn., daughter of Joseph Wilson and Katie Owen Hooper White. She and Hugh Spangler Hilboldt were married March 16, 1949. He died in February 1961...

CAIRO, Ill. -- Beatrice W. Hilboldt, 84, of Cairo died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., following an extended illness.

She was born June 26, 1915, in Nashville, Tenn., daughter of Joseph Wilson and Katie Owen Hooper White. She and Hugh Spangler Hilboldt were married March 16, 1949. He died in February 1961.

Hilboldt was a 1933 graduate of Cairo High School. She had worked at Vehicle Supply Co., Big Four Railroad, and First Bank and Trust Co. prior to her marriage. She again worked at First Bank and Trust Co. from 1970 until retiring in 1984.

She was a member of the Church of Christ and Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include a son, John Hilboldt of Arlington, Va.; a sister, Mary Wyman of Goldsboro, N.C.; and a brother, Joseph White of San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
