SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Beatrice Ellen "Bart" Herron of Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston was held Saturday at McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston. The Rev. Dave Bowden officiated, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.

Herron, 100, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 1, 1891, in East Prairie, daughter of Chris and Virginia Hancock Cooper. She married Oscar Herron Oct. 17, 1929, who died Feb. 23, 1973.

She was a member of First Christian Church in East Prairie.

Survivors include 10 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
