Beatrice Blanche Colvin Dunning, 90, of Spring Hill, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at Belvedere Commons in Franklin, Tenn.
She was born April 14, 1919, near Wheeling, Ind., daughter of William Wright and Elma Jenkins Colvin. She married Thomas H. Dunning Sr., who preceded her in death.
Beatrice was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau and had been active in two senior citizens groups in Missouri. She worked as a cook for Ramsey Corp. in St. Louis and retired in St. Louis before moving to Cape Girardeau. She moved to Tennessee in 2007.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Darlene Dunning of Spring Hill, Dr. Thomas and Sylvia Dunning of Champaign, Ill.; two sisters, Ruth Williams of Kansas City, Mo., Edna Shadowen of Manchester, Mo.; a brother, Randall Colvin of Ellisville, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Colvin.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, Ind.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tarrell Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Francisco, Ind.
