BEA DAVIS

PARMA, Mo. -- Bea Davis, 77, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, April 30, 2001, at Malden Nursing Center.

She was born May 29, 1923, at Malden, daughter of Harry and Zena Crowell Myrick. She and Carter Davis were married April 26, 1944, in Piggott, Ark.

Davis lived in Parma most of her life. She had owned and operated Bea's Cafe in Parma and was a member of Parma General Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Carter Davis Jr. of Savannah, Ga., Harry Davis of Memphis, Tenn.; four daughters, Joyce Julian of Orlando, Fla., Charlotte Whalen of Bloomfield, Mo., Patricia Goin of Jackson, Mo., Janet Heise of Malden; a brother, Chester Myrick of Elkhart, Ind.; four sisters, Bonnie Morgan and Shirley Shaw of Parma, Wanda Holtzhouser and Doris Bagby of Sikeston, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma from 6-9 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Cecil Keller officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
