BARBARA TREECE

ANNA, Ill. -- Barbara Laura Ann Treece, 92, of Anna, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at Union County Nursing Home.

She was born May 28, 1907, at Cobden, Ill., daughter of Charles and Laura Sharp Stegle. She and Hugh S. Treece were married Oct. 10, 1925, at Cobden. He died June 10, 1972.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna and of the Ladies Guild at the church.

Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Ann Treece of Carbondale and Louise Westbrooks of Anna; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents four sisters and five brothers.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tom Miller officiating. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery north of Anna.
