Barbara E. Taylor, 60, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Feb. 13, 1958, in Anna, Illinois, to Jesse James and Ruby Paulina Morris Sronce. She and Ron E. Taylor were married June 16, 2012, at Cape Girardeau.

She received a Bachelor's Degree in elementary education from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.

She retired in 2018 from Egyptian School in Tamms, Illinois, after 23 years.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ron E. Taylor of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Amanda Rae (Josh) Lindley of Glennallen, Missouri, Melissa Sue (Brian) Mathey of Marble Hill, Missouri, and Hannah Carroll Taylor of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Marilyn Hale of Jonesboro, Illinois, Brenda Sanders of Benton, Kentucky, Bonnie Dunn of Salem, Wisconsin, and Louann Hertlein of Hillsboro, Missouri; and five grandchildren, Kenzie and Olivia Killian, Tyler Mathey and Jesse and Bella Lindley.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Ellen Gurnon officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
