CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Barbara Jean Payne, daughter of the late Gene and Della Rose Kilburn, was born Nov. 26, 1945, in Bell City, Missouri, and departed this life Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 74 years.
Barbara was a resident of Chaffee. She was a homemaker and a member of Veterans of Foreign War Ladies Auxiliary in Chaffee. She loved adventures and finding treasures. Barbara would find the best flea markets and garage sales around. She also loved bingo with her friends, and her greatest treasures were her family.
Survivors include daughters, Tammy (Gary) Elders of Scott City and Tabatha Morgan of Sikeston, Missouri; brother, Rick (Linda) Kilburn of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters, Lorene (Bill) Foulk and Judy (Norman) Brant, both of Scott City, and Janie (Gerald) Simpson and Donna Brown, both of Chaffee; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
