Barbara Bahn Lohrmann, 56, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born Feb. 24, 1955, in Cape Girardeau, to Louis and Evelynne Dodson Bahn.
Barbara retired from teaching in the Cape Girardeau School District. She enjoyed scrapbooking and was an avid Scrabble player. She enjoyed annual trips to the beach with her daughters. Barbara had a passion for life.
Barbara's faith in Jesus, with the promise of eternal life and hope of the resurrection, was a source of great joy, comfort and peace to her. She was active at La Croix United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Evelynne Bahn of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Emily Lohrmann and Riley Lohrmann of St. Louis; a brother, David and wife Diane Bahn of Cypress, Texas; a sister, Suzie and husband Stanley Hancock of Little Rock, Ark.; a dear friend, Bruce Hacker of Cape Girardeau; beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Kathryn Bahn.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rob Mehner officiating.
