SIKESTON, Mo. — Barbara Lewis, 75, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Delta South Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Sikeston.
She was born March 28, 1942, in Bell City, Missouri, daughter of the late Josh and Bertha Mayberry Kneezle.
Barbara was of the Baptist faith and had worked for the Daeoc Head Start, and then as a caseworker for the Missouri Division of Family Services before retiring.
On Dec. 18, 1992, she married Lowell “Bud” Lewis; he survives of the home in Sikeston.
She also is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Robbin Nesler of Advance, Missouri, and Todd and Angie Nesler of Daphne, Alabama; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Mike Lewandoski of Jackson; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by one brother and six sisters.
Visitation was held Saturday.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Jim Matthews, pastor of Cape County Cowboy Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be Tim Martin, Tim Newell, Mike Riley, Mike Butler, Jeff Kelley and Danny Bright.
