SCOTT CITY -- Barbara Louise Brashear, 54, of Scott City died Sunday, April 21, 1996, at her home.
She was born Jan. 21, 1992, in Oran, the daughter of John and Ruth Thomas Diebold. She married Dick Brashear on Jan. 20, 1960, in Chester, Ill. He survives.
She was a homemaker who was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 6407 in Scott City, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and the St. Joseph Council 6420 of Scott City.
Also surviving are three sons, Rick Brashear of Enterprise, Ill., Mike Brashear of St. Peters, Mo., and Scott Brashear of Scott City; two daughters, Becky McMillan of Cape Girardeau and Barbie Simpson of Scott City; a brother, Gene Diebold of Scott City; a sister, Johnetta McConnell of Scott City; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with a joint parish and Knights of Columbus prayer service at 7.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Pat Wissman officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City.
