Barbara June Hopkins, 86, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, at her home.

She was born July 5, 1936, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Robert Henley and Delsie "Wilson" Clark. She and Loral Hopkins were married June 10, 1955, in Millersville.

Barbara was a 1953 graduate of Jackson High School and was a member of Millersville United Methodist Church.

Barb was a bank teller. Her career spanned 40 years at Cape County Bank in Jackson, and its successors. She retired in 1996, and loved taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking.

Loving survivors include her husband of 67 years, Loral Hopkins of Jackson; three children, Kim (Daryl) Hays, Brad (Laura) Hopkins and Susan (Bill) Whiteside, all of Jackson; seven grandchildren, Christopher Hays, Sarah Hays, Brandon Hopkins, Trevor Hopkins, James Hopkins, Jake Hopkins and Rachel Whiteside; two sisters, Saundra (the late Jerry) Williamson of Millersville and Roxie (Paul) Seabaugh of Jackson; and a brother-in-law, Albert (Joan) Runnels.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother-in-law, Lynn (Ilinda) Hopkins; and a sister-in-law, Nelda Jean (Ray) Propst.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stan Hargis officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Southeast Hospice.
