BARBARA ANN AXLEY

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Barbara Ann Axley, 58, of Mounds died Saturday, Feb. 3, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born in Alexander County July 21, 1937, daughter of Will Samuel Axley and Francis Lera Hicks Axley.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mounds.

She worked at M. Snower Co. in Cairo, Ill., as a garment inspector for 17 years before joining Elias Family Center in Cairo as a retail clerk.

She is survived by three brothers, William Axley of Wickliffe, Ky., and Raymond Axley and Charles Axley, both of Mounds; and a sister, Joan Axley of Mounds.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jones Funeral home in Villa Ridge, with the Rev. F. M. Speakman officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds.
