Avis A. Fowler, 83, of Fort Bragg, Calif., died Saturday, Feb. 25, 1995. She was born July 19, 1911, at Marston, daughter of William Herman and Mary Maud Litzelfelner Latimer. She and Irvin G. Fowler were married Nov. 14, 1942. He preceded her in death...

Avis A. Fowler, 83, of Fort Bragg, Calif., died Saturday, Feb. 25, 1995.

She was born July 19, 1911, at Marston, daughter of William Herman and Mary Maud Litzelfelner Latimer. She and Irvin G. Fowler were married Nov. 14, 1942. He preceded her in death.

The Fowlers had lived in Portland, Ore., and Walnut Creek, Calif. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Fort Bragg.

Survivors include three sons, two daughters, six grandchildren, two sisters, Inez Lowery of Wilmington, N.C., Virginia Moutray of Salem, and a brother, Bill Latimer of Springfield.

She was preceded in death by a son, brother and sister.

A memorial service was held at Grace Church, with burial in a Walnut Creek cemetery.
