KELSO, Mo. — Aurelia Marie Scherer, 81, of Kelso died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 26, 1926, in Kelso, daughter of Charles Adam and Irene Rose Enderle Scherer.
She was a housekeeper for Saint Francis Medical Center and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Emma Scherer of Kelso and Leona Scherer of Scott City; two nephews, Paul and James Scherer, both of Scott City; seven nieces, Leeann Schultz and Patricia Davie, both of Cape Girardeau; Charlotte Knaup, Marilyn Sievers and Jane Ann Fosse, all of Jackson; Theresa King of Scott City and Carolyn Essner of New Hamburg; and 20 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Leon and Theon Scherer.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, with parish prayers at 6:30 p.m.
Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
