JONESBORO, Ill. -- Augusta M. Gregory, 90, of Vincennes, Ind., formerly of Grand Tower, died Friday, July 11, 1992, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. She was born Aug. 25, 1901, in Wolf Lake, daughter of Peter and Isophene Verble Kimmel. She married Dewitt Gregory at Murphysboro in 1923. He died in 1977...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Augusta M. Gregory, 90, of Vincennes, Ind., formerly of Grand Tower, died Friday, July 11, 1992, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

She was born Aug. 25, 1901, in Wolf Lake, daughter of Peter and Isophene Verble Kimmel.

She married Dewitt Gregory at Murphysboro in 1923. He died in 1977.

Survivors are daughters, Wanda Wallace, Vincennes, Betty Wallace, Big Rock, Tenn., and Margaret Bray, Centralia; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter and two grandchildren preceded her in death.

Service will be today at 2 p.m. at Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. Jim Stamp officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. today.
