MOUNDS, Ill. -- Audrey E. Milan, 89, of Mounds died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services of Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 23, 1911, in Olive Branch, Ill., daughter of Don and Alice Chandler Kirkham. She married William Milan, who died in 1967.
The Milans formerly owned the Colonial Motel in Mounds. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mounds, member and past worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star in Cypress, Ill., and past worthy high priestess of White Shrine of Jerusalem.
Survivors include two daughters, Florence Penrod of San Antonio, Texas, Barbara Masser of East Greenwich, R.I.; a son, Wayne Milan of Hot Springs, Ark.; three sisters, Ruth Novello of Nokomis, Fla., Shirley Parker of Hayward, Wis., Alice Frank of St. Louis; two brothers, Don Kirkham of Oklahoma City, Okla., Wendell Kirkham of Taylorville, N.C.; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds. The Rev. F. Jerry Herring will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
