Audrey Darlene Gifford, 69, of East Cape Girardeau, Ill., died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at her home. She was born April 16, 1931, in Bradley, Ill., daughter of Phillip Sr. and Irma Mae Alexander Ashline. She and William M. Gifford were married Jan. 5, 1948, in Kankakee, Ill...

Audrey Darlene Gifford, 69, of East Cape Girardeau, Ill., died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at her home.

She was born April 16, 1931, in Bradley, Ill., daughter of Phillip Sr. and Irma Mae Alexander Ashline. She and William M. Gifford were married Jan. 5, 1948, in Kankakee, Ill.

Gifford lived in the area since 1989, having lived in McClure, Ill., before moving to East Cape Girardeau seven years ago.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Virginia M. Brooks of Manteno, Ill., and Darlene M. Musselman; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.

There will be no visitation or funeral.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
