AUDEAN DRISKELL

COBDEN, Ill. -- Funeral for Audean L. Driskell of Cobden will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden. The Rev. Charles Allen will officiate. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Driskell, 80, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro, Ill.

She was born Nov. 13, 1920, in Galatia, Ill., daughter of Elmer and Essie Kendall Petty. She and John W. Driskell were married March 11, 1940. He died Oct. 12, 1977.

Driskell was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Harold Driskell of Murphysboro, Ronald Driskell of Crest Hill, Ill., William Driskell of Cobden; four brothers, Louis Petty of Carbondale, Ill., James Petty of Wetaug, Ill., Louis Petty of Philadelphia, Miss., Floyd "Cotton" Petty of Simpson, Ill.; two sisters, Flo King of Saltillo, Miss., Ruth Cushom of Pasadena, Texas; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.
