Ashley Nicole Rogers, 20, of Hayti, Mo., died Dec. 20, 2006, in Cape Girardeau. Ashley was a 2004 graduate of North Pemiscot High School and had attended Southeast Missouri State University. She was currently attending Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center and working at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital as a respiratory technician. She was a member of Gamma Sigma Sigma and a member of Hayti First United Methodist Church...

Ashley Nicole Rogers, 20, of Hayti, Mo., died Dec. 20, 2006, in Cape Girardeau.

Ashley was a 2004 graduate of North Pemiscot High School and had attended Southeast Missouri State University. She was currently attending Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center and working at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital as a respiratory technician. She was a member of Gamma Sigma Sigma and a member of Hayti First United Methodist Church.

She was the daughter of Kathryn Kelle Madison and Stephen L. Rogers. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William F. and Kathryn Kelle, Buck Madison, and Norman Hamm; and a niece Sydney Beth Pikey.

She leaves the following to mourn her passing: her mother, Kathy and Jim Madison of Hayti, Mo.; father, Steve and Linda Rogers of New Madrid, Mo.; two sisters Amy Branson and her husband Lucas of Linn, Mo., and Stacy Pikey and her husband John of New Madrid, Mo.; three brothers Ronnie Adams and his wife Kristine of Portageville, Mo.; Jimmy Madison and Matthew Madison of Hayti, Mo., grandmothers Bonnie Madison of Hayti, Mo.; and Phyllis Hamm of Chaffee, Mo., fiance Joe Don Johnson and his parents, Patty and Don Johnson all of Portageville, Mo.; two nieces Keirstin Madison and Brittany Bessenger, three nephews Drew Pikey, Mason Adams and Nate Bessenger and a host of other relatives and many, many friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Portageville, Mo., with Rev. Dan Fulbright officiating. Burial was in the Dry Bayou Cemetery north of Hayti, Mo.

Active pallbearers were Zach Stevens, Lee Richardson, Victor Sample, Jon Walker, Jarrett Warren and Brandon Ray. Honorary pallbearers were Dusty Carlson, Jeremy Mayfield and Ethan Parmenter.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ashley Rogers Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o John W. German Funeral Home, 208 N. Third St., Hayti, Mo., 63851.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti, Mo., is in charge of services.
