ARTIE DENNY

PUXICO -- Funeral service for Artie Denny of Pueblo, Colo., will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico. The Rev. Wiley McGhee will officiate, with burial in Puxico Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.

Denny, 91, died Monday, Feb. 3, 1997, in Pueblo.

She was born Oct. 10, 1905, at Puxico, daughter of William and Laura Isabell Hawks. She and Hale Denny were married Sept. 16, 1927, at Puxico. He died Oct. 17, 1971.

Denny had lived in Colorado many years, moving back to Puxico in 1973, and returning to Colorado in 1992. She was a member of Puxico Christian Church, and First Baptist Church in Pueblo.

Survivors include a son, Herman Denny Jr. of Pueblo; two daughters, Bonnie Maldonado of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Donna Ward of Pueblo; a brother, Paul Burge of Puxico; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a twin brother, and 11 other brothers and sisters.
