PERRYVILLE -- Arthur A. Winkler, 80, of Perryville died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 6, 1919, at Uniontown, son of Hugo F. and Anna M. Meyer Winkler. He and Leona G. Rellergert were married Aug. 22, 1970, at Apple Creek.
Winkler had been a carpenter with Winkler Construction Co. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Apple Creek and the Men of St. Joseph.
Survivors include his wife; two stepdaughters, Janet Tiehes of Apple Creek, Helen Bailey of Muscatine, Iowa; two brothers, Anton Winkler of Jackson, Linus Winkler of Perryville; two sisters, Frieda Cissell of Perryville, Marie Reese of Florissant; and six stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Thursday, and Friday from 6:30-10 a.m. The parish wake will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Friday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church. The Rev. Mark Bozada will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
