ADVANCE - Arthur "Pee Wee" James, 89, of Puxico, Rt. 1, died Friday, Feb. 7, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 3, 1902 at Zalma, to Houston and Della Deck James.

On Nov. 20, 1933, he married Thelma Shell at Jonesboro, Ill. She survives, along with two daughters, Barbara Fish of Puxico, Rt. 1, and Connie Simmer of Creve Coeur; three half-brothers, Joe Lewis of Wappapello, Leland Lewis and Leon Lewis, both of Sturdivant; one half-sister, Nellie Liley of Advance, three granddaughters, and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by three sisters.

James was a timber and sawmill owner. He was a member of the Oak Grove General Baptist Church, near Puxico, where he also served as a deacon of the church.

Friends may call at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance until 3:45 p.m. today.

Funeral services will be held at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance at 3:45 p.m., today, with the Rev. Gary Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery in Marble Hill.
