PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Arthur E. Bock, 78, formerly of Perryville, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at Memorial Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla. He was born Oct. 17, 1922, at Uniontown, Mo., son of Gottfried William and Hilda Martha Herring Bock. Bock was a retired civil service aircraft repairman. PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Arthur E. Bock, 78, formerly of Perryville, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001, at Memorial Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla.

He was born Oct. 17, 1922, at Uniontown, Mo., son of Gottfried William and Hilda Martha Herring Bock.

Bock was a retired civil service aircraft repairman. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Jacksonville.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include two sisters, Lorene Leimer of Perryville, Dorothy Koenig of Hazelwood, Mo.; and a brother, Norman Bock of Downey, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Craig Otto officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, with military rites by American Legion Post 133.
