VANDUSER -- Arnold Miles, 73 years old, of Vanduser, died Friday, March 8, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born April 14, 1917, in Oran, son of George Hilary and Birdie O'Neal Miles.
He married Theola McArthur in August 1948. She died in 1958. He married Frances Sievers in May 1962. She died in 1985.
Miles was postmaster here from 1957 until his retirement in 1979.
He was a member of the National Postmasters Association and was a veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Morley High School.
Survivors are a daughter, Mary Alice Frazier, Cape Girardeau; sisters, Helen Miles and Mary Shuffit, both of Benton; and a grandson, Eugue (Pete) Frazier, Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at Crews-Welsh and Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
Service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Marvin Graham, pastor of Vanduser Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery at Morley.
