ANNA, Ill. -- Arnold E. Odle of Anna, Ill., died at 7:16 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 at the Union County Hospital in Anna.
He was born Aug. 18, 1924 at West Frankfort, Ill., and was the son of Clement and Mae Robbins Odle Sr.
He was married to Peggy R. McDonald on Dec. 3, 1948 in Corinth, Miss.
Odle is survived by his wife, Peggy, of Anna, one son, Steve Odle of Anna, and four sisters, Marie Martin of Energy, Myrtle Gray of Carterville, LaCleda McCool of Herrin and Nancy Summers of West Frankfort. He is also survived by two grandsons, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Mike Clement Odle Jr., and his parents.
Odle was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna. He was also a member of the Anna Moose Lodge No. 1346 and was a retired mechanic from the Bunny Bread Company in Anna.
Funeral services for Odle will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Donald McCool officiating.
Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery with military honors at the grave by the Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna. Friends may call at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Saturday.
