ARNIE LEGRAND

CHAFFEE -- Arnold "Arnie" LeGrand, 78, of Chaffee died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 11, 1919, at Benton, son of Lawrence Frank and Katherine Klipfel LeGrand.

LeGrand served in the U.S. Navy from 1941-61, and then served 10 years in the Naval Air Reserve. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and its Men's Club.

Survivors include a son, Mark Spruell of Coral Springs, Fla.; a daughter, Kim Spruell of Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers, Ben and Art LeGrand of Cape Girardeau, Norman LeGrand of Royal Oak, Mich.; and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 6 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
