Jonesboro, Ill. -- Arlie H. Kassing, 80, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro.

He was born Nov. 18, 1917, at Dongola, son of Henry and Ada Bowman King.

He was a retired truck owner and operator and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a half brother, Hilbert Adams of Anna; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ebenezer Hall Cemetery, with the Rev. David Adams officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the Anna VFW Post 3455.

Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
