ARLEE MCCLARD

Arlee Q. McClard, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at Beverly Health and Rehab Center.

He was born Nov. 14, 1929, at Neelys Landing, Mo., son of Ray A. and Minnie Penrod McClard. He was raised by Ray A. and Della Penrod McClard. He and Peggy L. Hidde were married Feb. 11, 1956, in Germany.

A veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam, McClard served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1967.

He was a member of the Church of God, Disabled American Veterans, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife; and a brother, Jessie McClard of Galveston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau after noon today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Kitchen officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery near Pocahontas, Mo.
