ARCHIE HEFLIN

DEXTER -- Archie Heflin, 89, of Dexter, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 1995, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

He was born Oct. 10, 1905, in Atkins, Ark., son of Joe and Ella Mae McAnally Heflin. He and Nellie M. Watson were married in August 1941. She died Nov. 1, 1988.

Heflin was a retired farmer and carpenter. He attended the General Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Joe Heflin of Cape Girardeau, Chester Heflin of Mathis, Texas, John Heflin of Robstown, Texas; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, five brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 7 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Marion Gipson officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
