ARBIE LONG

MARSTON -- Arbie M.C. Long, 74, of Marston died Monday, Oct. 21, 1996, at his home.

He was born June 4, 1922, at Wolf Island, son of Artie and Ollie Cassel Long. He married Dorothy Howard, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include three sons, Manuel Long of Marston, Alfred Long of Benton Harbor, Mich., Arbie Long Jr. of DesMoines, Iowa; three daughters, Hester Sneed and Linda Stapleton of Columbia, Cheryl Owens of DesMoines; two sisters, Quiller Sims and Mon McKinney of Marston; four brothers, Oddie Long of Charleston, Cornell and Eddie Long of Marston, Johnnie Long of Lilbourn; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

There is no visitation.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Marston, with the Rev. Johnnie McWilliams officiating. Burial will be in Mason Cemetery at Point Pleasant.

Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home at Howardville is in charge of arrangements.
