JACKSON, Mo. -- Ara Caroline Kinder Schroeder, 94, of Jackson passed away Tuesday morning, June 12, 2001, at her home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 29, 1906, at Marble Hill, Mo., daughter of John Edward and Mary Ann Penturf Kinder. She was one of 12 children.
Mrs. Schroeder was educated in Marble Hill and held fond memories of her school days. She often spoke of the old Will Mayfield College. Survivors include a son, Bill Schroeder of Knoxville, Tenn.; five daughters, Bessie Frayne of St. Louis, Dorothy Buchheit and Wilma Durnall of Jackson, Evelyn Logsden of Kalamazoo, Mich., Shirley Hahs of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Julia Ossig of Glen Allen, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. Joseph Durnall, a grandson, will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
