ARA DALLAS

ALTO PASS, Ill. -- Ara S. Dallas, 85, of Alto Pass died Friday, May 21, 1999, at City Care Center in Cobden.

She was born Oct. 23, 1913, at Alto Pass, daughter of Marshall and Claudia McKinney Bittle.

She and Albert Leon Dallas were married June 24, 1932. He died May 16, 1967.

Dallas was a member of Alto Pass Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include two sons, Gordon Dallas of Edwardsville and Rayburn Dallas of Granite City; two daughters, Mickey Myers of East Cape Girardeau and Darlene Sronce of Cobden; a brother, Willard Bittle of Millport, Ala.; two sisters, Imogene Petty of Carbondale and Alma Knapp of Chester; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son, two great-granddaughters, three brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Alto Pass.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Bill Brown and Vernon Goode officiating. Burial will be in Alto Pass Cemetery.
