Anthony Spurgeon

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Anthony Allen Spurgeon, 25, of Murphysboro, Ill. died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003, in Perry County because of an automobile accident.

He was born Oct. 19, 1977 at St. Louis, son of Richard Spurgeon and Terri Aldridge Crouch.

Spurgeon was a construction worker.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Terri and Paul Crouch of Union, Mo.; father and stepmother, Richard and Shanna Spurgeon of Murphysboro, Ill.; two brothers, Shano Spurgeon of Overland Park, Kan. and Levi Spurgeon of Murphysboro; a sister, Kari Spurgeon of Union; maternal grandparents, Joan and Gordon Aldridge of St. Louis and paternal grandmother, Betty Spurgeon of Murphysboro, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Travis Ward officiating.
