MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Anthony Scott Murphy, 39, of Mound City died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, in Mound City, Ill., from injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born April 20, 1961, in Cairo, Ill., son of Leon Gilbert and Judith Ann Hunsaker Murphy.
Murphy was a truck driver and a member of First Baptist Church in Mound City.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Murphy; a son, Devin Murphy; mother, Judith Murphy of Mound City; father and stepmother, Leon and Brenda Murphy of Cape Girardeau; a brother, David Murphy of Nashville, Tenn.; maternal grandmother, Norma Glenn of Mound City; and fiancee, Liz Morrison of Sikeston, Mo.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Polley officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Ill.
