SIKESTON -- Annie Mae Williams, 95, of Sikeston died Friday, July 17, 1998, at her home. She was born June 25, 1903, in Yazoo City, Miss., daughter of Will and Lizzie Mitchell Nelson. She married John W. Williams, who died in May 1974. Williams moved to Missouri in 1959. She was a member of West End Missionary Baptist Church and its Missionary Society...

SIKESTON -- Annie Mae Williams, 95, of Sikeston died Friday, July 17, 1998, at her home.

She was born June 25, 1903, in Yazoo City, Miss., daughter of Will and Lizzie Mitchell Nelson. She married John W. Williams, who died in May 1974.

Williams moved to Missouri in 1959. She was a member of West End Missionary Baptist Church and its Missionary Society.

Survivors include seven grandchildren, Mary Jones, with whom she lived, and Helen West of Sikeston, Annie Lowder of West Covina, Calif., Louise Sanders of Long Beach, Calif., Willie McCoy, Lewis and Jerry Dodd, all of Covina, Calif.; 19 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter.

Friends may call at Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at West End Church, with the Rev. J.L. Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Sunset of Memories Cemetery.
