Anne Goodin Brown, 92, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 1, 1921, in Charleston to the late Albert Vernon and Fannie Cox Goodin II. She left Charleston in 1950, living in Akron, Ohio, and St. Louis before returning to Charleston in 1980 and then moved to Cape Girardeau in 1991.
On June 8, 1945, she married Roger Q. Brown Jr., who preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1987.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Roger Q. and Beth Brown III; two daughters and sons-in-law, Myrtle and Bill Fredenburg of Florissant, Colo., and Suzanne and Phil Baily of Maple Valley, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Vernon Goodin III and Sam Cox Goodin; and one sister, Myrtle Goodin Smith.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, with her son, Roger Q. Brown III, and her son-in-law, Bill Fredenburg, officiating. Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Roger Q. Brown III, Bill Fredenburg, Roger Q. Brown IV, Christian Brown, James Fredenburg, Wynn Fredenburg, Adam Eftink and Evan Johnson.
