Scott City -- Annalee Edwards, daughter of the late Fredrick Baker and Laura Bossie was born on July 14, 1934, in Madison, Illinois, and departed this life on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021, at the Chateau Girardeau Nursing Home in Cape Girardeau at the age of 87 years.
On April 2, 1949, she was united in marriage to Joseph A. Edwards in Chaffee, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 2009.
Annalee was a homemaker, of the Baptist faith and a resident of Scott City.
Survivors include one son, Joel Edwards of California; five daughters, Elizabeth Hacker of California, Catherine Foster and Joan Haas, both of Scott City, Margaret Rine of St. Louis and Betty Oliver of Joplin, Missouri; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandson.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Edwards.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at noon at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
