Annabelle A. Keusenkothen, 82, of Jackson died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 21, 1931, in Cape Girardeau, to Ray Daniel and Anna Louise Schulte Gilder. She and John J. Keusenkothen were married Aug. 23, 1958, at St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.

Annabelle was a graduate of St. Mary High School in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson and served on the parish council and liturgy committee, and was a Eucharistic minister. She was also on the Immaculate Conception School Board, and was active in the Notre Dame Regional High School Home and School Association. She was a volunteer at Saint Francis Medical Center many years.

Survivors include her husband, John J. Keusenkothen of Jackson; three sons, Dan Keusenkothen (Kathy) of St. Louis, Jim Keusenkothen (Kim) of Jackson and Mike Keusenkothen of St. Louis; two daughters, Lisa Unterreiner (Jeff) of Cape Girardeau and Mary Beth Hercules (David) of Webster Groves, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Kara Keusenkothen of St. Louis; and a sister, Dorothy Brockmeyer (Jerome, deceased) of Arnold, Mo.

Also 17 grandchildren, John Paul and Joseph Michael Keusenkothen, Josh Keusenkothen (Julia), Jenny Schade (Kyle), Justin and Jaci Keusenkothen, Michael, Eric, Sean and Sam Keusenkothen, Anna and Evan Unterreiner, and Eliot, Sophia, Stella, Ava and Lydia Hercules; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Keusenkothen and Noah Schade; and a very special caregiver, Candace Knickerbocker.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery at Kelso, Mo.
