Anna Winkler

PERRYVILLE, Mo — Anna C. Winkler, 93, of Perryville died Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Independence Care Center.

She was born Dec. 13, 1929, in Perry County to Otto Leible and Mary Schnurbusch Leible.

She and Cletus T. Winkler were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek, Missouri.

She worked at International Shoe Co. for 46 years in Perryville. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek, being the second oldest parishioner. She loved working at church dinners, loved playing cards, especially rummy and pitch, and working in her garden.

Survivors include her son, Randal C. (Susan G.) Winkler of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Apple Creek.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at the church, with the Rev. Patrick Christopher officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Apple Creek.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church of Apple Creek.
