Anna Lee Wills, 84, of Millersville passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 11, 1937, in Oak Ridge to John O. and Lela Hopkins Haupt. She and Gene E. Wills were married April 10, 1960, at Old Salem Methodist Church near Millersville, which was their first church home. Two sons, Alan and Brent, were born to their union. Anna Lee Wills, 84, of Millersville passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 11, 1937, in Oak Ridge to John O. and Lela Hopkins Haupt. She and Gene E. Wills were married April 10, 1960, at Old Salem Methodist Church near Millersville, which was their first church home. Two sons, Alan and Brent, were born to their union. They had been married 57 years when Gene passed away Dec. 23, 2017.

Ann was a 1955 graduate of Jackson High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in education and psychology from Southeast Missouri State University.

Ann taught in the Jackson School District until Gene established Wills Insurance Services in 1968 and managed the Citizens-Columbia Regional Office in Jackson. In 1974, she earned her Missouri Insurance License and joined Gene in growing the family agency.

In 1973, the Wills family became members of First Baptist Church in Millersville. Ann was faithful to her Lord through Christian service, teaching children and adult Sunday school and serving on the church council. She was also a 4-H leader.

Loving survivors include two sons and their wives, Alan and Karen Wills and Brent and Lori Wills, all of Jackson; four grandchildren, Alyssa (Nick) Hermann, Trent (Charity) Wills, Kyla Naeter and Brandon (Haley) Wills; and four great-grandchildren, Nathan Naeter, Karson and Parker Hermann and Savannah Wills.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, John G. Haupt.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The Rev. Jason Grubbs will conduct the funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to First Baptist Church in Millersville.
