Funeral service for Anna Schonhoff of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Richard Rolwing will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 3-8 p.m. today. A Daughters of Isabella prayer service will be held at 6:30, and parish prayers at 7.
Schonhoff, 90, died Monday, April 19, 1993, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
She was born Dec. 8, 1902, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of William and Mary Frielinghaus Knaup. She and Alphonse M. Schonhoff were married Oct. 12, 1937, in Cape Girardeau. He died Aug. 9, 1973.
Schonhoff was a bookkeeper at I. Ben Miller Store, and had also worked at Knaup Floral and Schonhoff Dairy Farm. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, had been a choir member and organist, member of Daughters of Isabella, St. Ann Sodality, and lifetime member of St. Francis Medical Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include three daughters, Sister Rita Schonhoff of Ellington, Mary Walker of St. Louis, Rose Laguia of Madrid, Spain; a sister, Rose Compas of Cape Girardeau, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
